NORMAN, Okla. — A patch of marijuana growing wild in
southeast Norman has been destroyed after being found
by the landowner.
Cleveland County authorities say more than 8,800
plants of up to 9 feet tall were cut down and burned.
Officials say the plants would’ve had a street value
of around $8 million if harvested and processed.
County Sheriff’s Captain Doug Blaine says the plants
were growing wild but it appears someone had
periodically cultivated them.
No arrests have been made.
