money tree plant?

my boyfriend recently gave me a money tree plant…i just wanted to know what are the best ways to care for it so that it’s the most prosperous and healthy? i’ve been watering it every 2 to 3 days, and so far it’s doing great. there are 2 tiny green leaves coming up from the dirt…is this ok? the main bushy part also has some new growth. and i’ve been keeping it in my window so it get’s sunlight. also, what exactly is pinching your plant? thanks in advance…just want my plant to do its best!!
