When should I re-pot my braided money tree?

The tree has increased by about 30% from it’s original size and I’m wondering if I should get a larger pot for it. The pot it is in is appox 7″ x 3.5″ x 3″ and the tree is now over a foot tall with a ‘canopy’ larger than the circumference of a basketball.

Any tips for pots, soil, re-potting process etc would be greatly appreciated!!
