Does anybody know how to remove spider mites from Pachira Aquatica (money tree)?

It’s an indoor potted plant, we bought it several months ago and noticed the mites almost the same day we bought it. We tried Ortho’s “Rose and Flower Insect Killer” that has Bifenthrin as an active ingredient. We were very diligent in spraying it but it didn’t seem to help at all.

Another solution is diluted alcohol and liquid detergent. Swab each leave with this solution then rinse with clean water.

if you want to take a more Integrated Pest Management approach, find some preadatory spider mites and put them on the tree. It sounds like you may already have mites that are resistant to pesticides. Your other options are silvicultural techniques as already mentioned, and biological control as I just mentioned.
