I bought a Money Tree last night from Lowe’s?

… it comes in this cute little pot with tiny pebbles “glued” to the top of the soil. The care instructions say to make sure soils is dry between waterings, but I cant tell if the soil is dry since they “glued” these darn pebbles on top. What do I do???
