My money plant’s stem is growing longer and longer. What should I do?

Sam, Vice President of the YAA asked:

I’ve put it in a pot and hung it around my porch but now - it’s grown quite long and the leaves are dangling all over the place. What should I do? Cut them?

I was thinking - is there a way to grow MORE money plants using those leaves or something? Sorta like, cutting the whole stem off and then planting it into a new pot, so that it grows.

Really sorry bout asking so much - but I’m a newbie at gardening and this money plant is already having me in stitches… LOL!
What do you think about the superstition that the money plant brings prosperity and wealth?
I forgot to mention this but… the money plant I’m talking about is also known as the Devil’s Ivy.

Cut them. They will be fine … Don’t cut all at once.

I don’t know if you can start them from a cutting in soil. Try water first.

It was tough to answer this question honestly without mentioning ‘Drunken-Monkey Sex’ … but maybe these plants are so prolific ’cause of what they are doing when you’re not around !

Darn it, I was trying not to bring up ‘Drunken Monkey Sex’

    ;-P
