Please help me with my money tree?

I have had a money tree for seven years. It has been the easiest plant I have had to care for. I have never had a problem with it. Until last summer, the tree looked to overgrown, so I tried to braid the branches. I ended up snapping off two of the five branches. The tree didn’t seem to notice, it just kept on gowning normal. However lately the leaves have begun to look faded, not it’s usual dark green. I just re-potted it yesterday to see if that may help. But does anyone have any other suggestions? It sits in a window that gets direct light for about an hour in the morning. I have no experience with plants, I usually cannot keep a plant past a couple months, so this is my pride and joy!! :) Thank you in advance!!!!
