What can I plant to save money?

I generally buy the festive bouquets, but the most important thing to me is they have a long vase life. [I cut the ends every other day and change the water including plant food.]
I live in Las Vegas, NV so it may be hard to keep whatever I plant alive during summer… Is there anything anyone can reccommend?
Thanks in advance, ANY suggestions are appreciated.

Blanket flowers are xeric and long lasting. What about Iris, lilies, liriope? All do well in vases and don’t need much water.
Achillia is a very long lasting flower that withstands intense heat and drought.

talk to your local nursery about options for your home.
