If you plant near a land mark like another tree or a building it won’t give money and it only works every 3 days. It also depends how much money you put in.

It’s because you didn’t put in a lot of money, and I’d put around 90.000 bells in, but the problem is there’s still a slim chance that it won’t grow with whatever amount of money you put in, and apparently the tree only gives off money once anyway, so there’s no point unless for decoration if that is true.
