Why can’t I get my money tree’s to grow, (I have the golden shovel) or coconut tree’s in animal crossing?

Money tree bury up to 500- 1000 bells and then fast forward a couple days

not sure on the money trees…but the coconut trees should be planted in the dirt/grass ABOVE the sand. kind of along the line where the grass and dirt meet at the beach.
